White P accidentally dropped on hand may be removed by washing with CuSO4.Why ?

ya, white P causes superficial burns, as it reacts vigorously wid air and sticks to our skin. copper sulfate is

used to neutralise the effects of white P. This solution combines with phosphorus on the surface of the

particles to form a blue-black cupric phosphite covering( Cu₃(PO₃)₂ ) , which both impedes

further oxidation and facilitates identification of retained particles.
