Q1. (B) the already present charge repels the even extra negative charge. :P

Q2. (D) ? (not sure)

Q4. AC are correct. Not sure abt B

Q5. (A)

6. (a)

Q7. im getting none
Q8. a

Q.3 B
Q.4 B
@Ashish can u plz explain 5 and 8..

Avik ·

1) Rite (B). But since it wud gain a noble gas config., i thot engy wud be released.

2) D correct. Kaise ?

4) Ans is D.

5) & 8) Rite asish, but i haven't got a clue of wat all this is about...needing an elaborate explanation.

Q4. yeah just looked up the values Fe 1.17
Co 1.16
Ni 1.15

So approx equal

2. explained by govind...
EA cannot be calculated directly

5. All u have to rem is that effective nuclear charge means that mro is its value smaller is the atom (that is what i know)

6. Iska matlab ki O ke saath kaun sabse jyaada variation in oxidation states de sakta hai

8. Tukka (THere is some calculation involved which im not sure)

10. JD Lee says that
BeH2 is intermediate between ionic and covalent
CuH2 is intermediate between covalnet and interstitial
CrH3 is interstitial

f-block not in JEE..

kyon pareshan hote ho?

13
Avik ·

Phir bhi, 8) mein tukka kaise lagaya...? :P

Asish Mahapatra ·

lagaa. ki as the nuclear charge increases not too much (only 0.35) it is reasonable to assume that only 1 electron has been ionised..

btw this is also not in JEE
