1wat is a dioxide?
note in it an atom is attached to 2 oxygen atoms
eg CO2
WHEN there is only one oxygen atom per atom it is an monoxide
eg NO
and similarly when there is less than an oxygen atom per atom then it is a suboxide eg C3O2
see 2 oxygen wid 3 carbon so
= 2/3 oxygen per carbon
