a jee question...../revision/simple[3]

this is how i remember it.........(may not be same) starts off pure rollin with given parameters(figure) and when spring is unstreched!!!!

a)find freq. b)max diplacement c)max. value of vo for which it rolls

@philip..

hey dont think that way.. no one thinks that..

On the contrary I have always thought that you have one of the more inquisitive minds here on targetiit!

an philip no offence......[2] .............soln. below ..... see Q3 u ppl ingnored was a gud 1!!!

[1][1] thats where im an irodov fan...

only general terms are used no values. and that really helps

anyone who puts the values at any intermediate step all the time will never be able to notice such cute little things

surely agreeing wid you philip...

but every time i end up writing the whole eqn .. [3] (u know.. khud ko tasalli ho jati hai ... bus)

:'(

everyone thinks now im a formula mugger.......
but no the truth is im utterly incapable of mugging anything let alone formulae ...

by the way who started this formula thing...
i didn't ;
i just gave a tukka... and have written over there

and that was because of experience guyz...
in most of the problems i have solved i've seen this term replacing mass when we could take non rotating case...... also dimensions of

m and I/r2 are same

.so this was just instinct not any formula check urself over there...

sorry if u don't like it but if on solving i'd have got something difft i would have definitely cross checkd
anyone who has solved some probs like this and attentively will surely agree

par utnaa formula kaun yaad rakhegaa ?

mera memory waise hi thoda kamzooor hai [2] [2]

1
Philip Calvert ·

@skygirl SAME AS MINE NA ?? so cheers we both are correct !!

btw if you can se some generality in my answer...

these qs can be done without solving at all

iitimcomin ·

yep. dats rite and for the third 1 i forgot to give this: take coeff of friction as u

1
skygirl ·

hmm... energy conservation!

U = 1/2kx2 + 1/2 kx2 + 1/2mv2 + 1/4mv2

=> U = kx2 + 3/4mv2

diff...

2kx v = - 3/4 X m. 2v .a

=> a = - 4/3 k/m

=> ω2 = 4k/3m ...

1
Philip Calvert ·

without solving ....

is the freq. =

1/2Ï€√2k/(m + I/r2)

its just a tukka so don't abuse me if its grossly wrong [1]

assuming of course that the rod there is massless

definitely I is not another variable i have taken on my own....
it is the moment of inertia

its not req. yaar...

and dont loose hope..... i did the same with organic .... im pickin up slowly [1]......

hey wats the distnace of springs from centre? {or is irt not required?}

39
Dr.House ·

physics aur main? aur woh bhi rotation? karte karte mahiine guzar jaayenge........

electricity hain toh kuch kar sakhta hoon, mechanics i am takin lite

and ya it was b555, no: of is only 1 :P

Dr.House ·

dude, its better if we talk about this in instant chat and not here

Dr.House ·

ya, i am sitiing since 15 min............

no the site went down for 30 odd minutes ;)

luks like noone is in the mood for revision....or is the question too low level?????????????????

33
Abhishek Priyam ·

but i am not in a mood to revise.. [13][13]
