second one i got 8R/15 which is der in options.. but i couldnt see any symmetry...

I got answer after 1 page calculation involving 6 variables [2]

1 : q charge [ inside ] induces -q on inner surface of cavity and so +q appears on the sphere [ I'M ASSUMING ITS CONDUCTING..IF IT IS NON CONDUCTING THEN AUTOMATICALLY SOME LESSER MAGNITUDE OF CHARGE [ < q ] GETS INDUCED....this +q charge acts as a POINT CHARGE for the point P outside...i hope u got it !

Ans 2 : the shape is like a prism rt ashish..so there WILL be a symmetry cutting through the prism strting with the side edge..THEN YOU CAN SOLVE IT EASILY..

second one we can remove the straight wire joining the vertex opposite AB.
