i think it should be A,think SHM,object at extremes

but second statement doesnt explain the first one

in the case of SHM,it explains statement 1

option A.

becos reverse its direction dat it is acceleratd and it is momentarily at rest means velocity is zero therefore it explains the first statement i think so.pls inform me if there are ne errors.

i think it has to be b...........

I:A body can always have a rate of change of quantity even if that quantity has value zero.So Assertion correct
II:A body is momentarily at rest when its direction changes .So Reason is also correct

but I dont think that A explains R.......

till now i cited a few explamples all in favor of Ans A

1.extreme posn in shm

a=amax

v=0
2.a projectile at its topmost height

a=amax

v=0

however the answers given have an assumption that the acch is const. else nothinng canbe said

else the v-t graph can be

then the ans would be Asser. true and reason is false

well i thought it to be B but the answer is A!

then i would say that the a= const.

Answer should be A

see... in case of a body projected upwards, at d highest point, its velocity is zero but its accelaration is equal to g...

n more over... when will a body reverse its direction...!! only in presence of external force rite... dat implies, its under accelerated motion rite... so if a body is reversing its direction of motion, it means dat some force is acting on it which means it has some acceleration... n while its direction gets reversed, its velocity is momentarily zero...

so II explains I ...
