Badly need ur help.......

Very conceptual..........plzzzz reply as soon as possible.....

Q1 A source and observer both start moving simultaneously from origin, one along X axis and other along Y axis with speed of source equal to twice speed of observer. The graph between apparent frequency(n') observed by observer and time t would be???????????

(where n is frequency of source)

Q2For a wave displacement amplitude is 10-8m,density of air=1.3 kg m-3,velocity of sound in air is 340 m/s and frequency is 2000 Hz.Then calculate intensity of wave........

for the first question i got a hint i dont know whether it is rite.

let ur frame of reference be the observer and u will find dat the source is moving away from u with a particular velocity

then app freq=vsoundorg freq/vsound-vsource

by the way can someone tll me if its necessary to know the frmula for intensity of waves , till now for the last 10 yrs jee pap i cudnt even find a single prob in this area

yeah!!!
as the source moves perp to observer..... Vs in the sum will reamin a const. only vel. of observer will change.....
then its easy... hope u got it!!!
