(v12+v22)/v2=3/4

e=(v2-v1)/v

Momentum conservation: mv=mv1+mv2
Thus, v=v1+v2

(v12+v22)/v2=3/4

(v12+v22)/(v1+v2)2=3/4

(v12+v22)/(v12+2v22+v1v2)=3/4

1-(v12+v22)/(v12+2v22+v1v2)=1-3/4 = 1/4

(2v1v2)/(v12+2v22+v1v2)=1/4

Thus, (v1-v2)2/v2=1/2

e=(v2-v1)/v = 1/√2
