A uniform rod of mass m and length l rests on a smooth horizontal surface. One of the ends of the rod is struck in horizontal direction at right angles to the rod.As a result the rod attains a velocity v.Find the force with which one half of the rod will act on the other in process of motion

arrey this is easy..

I will tell u the method... try this one..

1) take the rod as 2 masses..

2) The velocity of the end point of the 2 "rods" will the same... (i mean the two sub rods!)

3) The angular velocity will be the same

4) Draw an FBD of both the parts..

5) Analyse forces etc... Done :)
