integration , arihant mein likha hai ki agar satellite ki velocity orbital velocity se kam hai to bhi elliptical path hoga......... but wat is the reason

yeah it will follw elliptical orbit
if vel < orbital vel then it follws parabolic path n falls 2 d earth
if vel=orbital vel then moves in circular orbit
if vel>orbital <escape then it follws elliptical path
if vel>escape then it escapes frm d earth's influence

i dont know abt elliptical orbits becos it is not in the syllabus.

the satellite will goes to another orbit and i am not sure if it is n circular motion.

this is similar to electrons orbiting arooun the nucleus

see v proportional to √R

so new R = 1.5Re

dude escape velocity is √2gR

√1.5 v would mean velocity is greater than escape velocity so satellite will move out of earth' s gravitational field
