Consider a particle of mass m on heap forces on it normal reaction=mg*cosÎ¸, frictional force along incline upwards = Î¼ N =Î¼*mg cosÎ¸. Now for equilibrium mg*sinÎ¸(due 2 gravity downward along incline)= Î¼*mg*cosÎ¸(along up plane).
therefore Î¼=tanÎ¸ or Î¸=tan^-1Î¼.

generally in such cases tan is related to Î¼.
