Two equal spherical bubbles(radius=a) coalease to form a spherical bubble of radius b.If P is atmospheric pressure,then the surface tension of bubble is????????

try this way first

PV is constant so...

P1.2a3=P2b3

Also

P1 - P atm = 4γ/a

P2 - P atm = 4γ/b

Now substitute P1 from first equation in the 2nd.

And then eliminate P2

Not very difficult

you will get terms of the kind 2a2-b2 and 2a3-b3
