Ic=10mA

Ie=(100/90) x 10
=100/9 mA

Ie=Ib+Ic

Ib= Ie - Ic
= 10/9 mA

Hope it is correct [4]

P.S:

In real cases, Ib is in the order of μA. 10/9mA is actually too high a value of Ib.

Speed of light in vacuum is 1/√μoεo
Speed of light in medium is 1/√με

Hence by defenition of refractive index, it is √(με/μoεo)
