wahi to... s1o and s2o are equal so whats the matter of refractive index there

1
vector ·

for point p s2p=√D2+d2
s1p=D
sub
√D2+d2-D
D√1+d2/D2-D

as d<<<<D
=D(1+d2/2D2)-D
hence d ans[1]

Ans1 2Ï€/λ [√d2+xo2-x0+(μd2/2D)]

Ans2 2Ï€/λ [μ√d2+xo2-x0+(d2/2D)]

eureka any prob here ?

ok then work out ...

first calculate the geometrical distance.

then multiply μ wherever required to get the optical distance.

delXG = [S S1 + S1 O] - [SS2 + S2O ]

THIS IS THE GEOMETRICAL DIST..

now find opt dist by multiplying mu in two places as given in diff questions...

then use the formual : Δθ= Δx.2Π/λ

24
eureka123 ·

but i assumed them to be d and distance b/w sli and screen to be D

24
eureka123 ·

no
