NEWTON'S COLOUR DISC

When a newton's disc is rotated at a very high speed , why do the colours mix up and finally appear white???

A Newton's disc is a disc with segments in rainbow colors. When the disc is rotated, the colors fade to white. In this way, Issac Newton demonstrated that white light is a combination of seven colors found in a rainbow. This is due to the phenomenon of persistence of vision.
