for d first one, ans is D

when A moves from pole to focus, it's image moves from pole to -∞ ... where as, when B moves from centre to focus, it's image moves from centre to +∞ ... it suddenly shifts to -∞ juzz at d point when B touches d focus...

As d question is related to d situation before A&B come in contact... the distance b/w images always increases... as soon as they come in contact at focus, their images coincide (hypothetically at -∞)...
