in aromaticity it is required condition that there is at least one unhybridised p-orbital.what does it mean?

means there should some pi electrons or lone pairs available for resonance..

in aromaticity it is required that ONE P ORBITAL PER CARBON ATOM is unhybridised.

this requires that each carbon atom is sp2 hybridised and this ensures the molecule has a planar structure..

this ensures that the unhybridised p orbital is projecting perpendicularly above and below the surface of the molecule ensuring an electron cloud which can potentially make π bonds.

now if the no of "unhybridised p" electrons has a number equal to 4n+2 {n ε Z}i.e. in all an odd number of pi bonds can be made in one of the resonating structures :D then the molecule will become aromatic.

the number 4n+2 ensures that there is continuous conjugation throughout the molecule as we move along C-C bongs "along any path" [actually this is the required condition of aromaticity]
