car benes >>>>>>>

The stability of carbenes is
[1]Singlet carbene > Triplet carbene
[2]Singlet carbene = Triplet carbene
[3]Singlet carbene < Triplet carbene

i donno y tey not ginen duplet one .

There is nothing like a doublet!

There are only two kinds of carbenes: singlets and triplets.

The naming may have taken u by a surprise.. but then that is a fact! :)

singlets r d one in wich both elctrons r 2gethr
andtriplets r d one in wich they r in diff orbitals
so as in diff orbitals (seems like trans 2 each othr)
so they r more stable then d two elctrons in samme orbital

ok ok
i got doble an triplet idea
but wa answer 2 my original ?
triplet carbene >>>>>>stanle than single
coz of less repulsion
hmmmmmmmmm is ter any othr resn

integrations has gn the rite ans ...coz in triplet carbene, the electrons are oppositely arranged so as to hav min repulsions hence lesser the energy more is the stability...hence in all rxns triplet carbene is predominantly takin part to enhance the kinetics of the rxn givin more stable pdt in more amt hope im rite

Exchange energy.

the spin multiplicity of singlet carbene is 1
and that of triplet carbene is 3
