yup
the answer is b

i have solved it as follows:

in the first rxn OH acts as base and in the second one

CH2=CH-PPH3BR WE CAN SHOW RESONANCE TO FORM BETWEEN POSITIVE CHARGE ON P AND DOUBLE BOND TO FORM YLIDE OR WITTIG REAGENT

THEN IT IS A SIMPLE WITTIG REACTION

Wittig reaction toh theek hai...but wittig reactions yield alkenes. Not benzofuran.

WHN U WIIL MAKE RESONANCE OF GIVEN REAGENT THAN POSITIVE CHARGE WILL COME ON ONE CARBON AND IT WILL ATTACH TO O OF THE RING AND THAN INTAMOLECULAR WITTIG RXN WILL FORM THS PRODUCT
