See first step is simple Aldol Condensation..carbonion is fromed on the carbon adjacent to the keyone grp on the cylcopentyl ring...
Now AlCl₃ will attack on Oxygen grp..so oxygen leaves...now the doble bond formed in aldol condensation is broken by O₃ so u will get the answer A
