i m not satisfied wid ur ans
first of all u cant put grignard n h3o+ together thestep y ll do acid base rxn
n if u r putting ddem step by step then u cant consider it acidic medium
so ans shoud be 1 grignard is acting as nucleophile

so in the present question, in presence of H30+, Ph- will attack on C-2, so that C-O bond breaks .. [ 2° carbocation - very stable]...

remember :

in presence of acid or in neutral conditoion, C+ stability is seen..

in presence of base, steric hindrance is seen.. attack is there , where steric hindrance is less...
