oye grandmaster..wats the answer ????
I feel its D...bcoz negative charge on C is least stable among all....

Oh so u mean 2 say, leser the e-negativity of the C attachd to N more da basicity huh!

lagta hai sahi kyunki thn only will it want to accept H+

man, v want greater electron density on N...so

u mean hydrogn bondin???[7]

how aq med affect sky?

yup... hydrogen bonding should affect ...

and also water will donate protons to reqd places.....

yup,yup,yup...sky approach was quite right....to cater for h-bonding but the ans is C.

I don't believe it. actually the point is stabilisation of -NH2+ in each case and if u see here resonance destabilises the carbocation in each case...

so my ans is d) where delocalisation is min. (as = [double bond] electron is less mobile than lone pair ) so there is min resonance and min destabilisation.

yaa..so dats wat i was thinking...it has to b D....

hey sky...whn v consider aq medium, v mostly take in2 account H bonding and solvation of NH2+ ion...in each ot these cases, the type of substituent attached to NH2 mainly affects bcoz of the steric structure....
no in this case, i think all v got to do is evaluate electron density on N of NH2, as all are almost same whn it comes to steric effects....
