1plz tel me if i m correct ....1 OH grp frm top wil b eliminatd along wd d H of the other OH grp on top which will frm ketone whle the Ph grp attachd wd it wl b migrated 2 d eliminatd OH grps place
1no , para -tollyl group will be migrated instead of phenyl group.
106yes para-tollyl grp will migrate ..
because the initial carbocation formed is the o-phenyl carbocation as it is more stable ..
and hence the other migrating grp (p-tollyl) will migrate
