Q) Why is Wurtz reaction not given by tert. alkyl halides?

wurtz reaction mainly occurs through SN2 type Mechanism after the formation of the free radical. But as tertiary halides do not have very high reactivity with SN2, hence if u try to perform wurtz, the elimination product dominates
