calculate the final molarity of :
200 ml 1 M HCl +100ml .5M H2SO4

Molarity of H+ is 1 M in both
So molarity will remain same

whats wrong with following solution:

[(200*1)+(100*.5)]/300

after all molarity is moles per litre

why are we considering H+ and why not the compound as a whole?

as per defn.molarity=no of moles/vol of soln *1000...

here,acid strengh has not been asked for which we shall consider the H+ conc of the two solns....
