Hey.... boiling of water will be quicker in the capillary that in the flat pan of negligible height......

It is because the flat pan having huge surface area...... the water molecules on it spreads over......Hence the intermolecular interactions on it is weaker as compared to the capillary tube where the molecules are in great contact with each other......
