Can any one explain The mpemba effect illucidately..
that is...
The hot water freezing before the cold....I can't make out..

I think it is not right..because after sometime both temparature will be same..still the hot water freezes first..

@Asish,
Its a common misconception, but you should note that the Newton's law of cooling is not "derived" from Stefan's law. The very fact that its a law (and not a theorem) means that it cannot be derived. Further, Newton's law of cooling is a convection phenomena while Stefan's law deals with radiation phenomena. So how could you derive Newton's law of cooling from Stefan's law.
