an immersion heater , in a insulated vessel of negligible heat capacity brings 100 g of water to the boiling point from 16 degrees in 7 min.

then find 1} power of heater
2}the water is replaced by 200 g alcohol, which is heated from 16 degrees to the boiling point of 78 degrees in 6 min 12 sec., 30 g are vapourised in 5 min 6 sec. find specific heat of alcohol.

100(100-16)(1)/420 = POWER(P)......

P(360+12) = 200(C)(78-16).......

FIND C .............

30(L) = P(306).......

FIND L ............

POWER IS IN cal/s...
