urgenttttttttttt!!!!!!

10kg of ice @ -10°C
N
10kg of H2O @ 10°C
r mixxed !
then wats final temparture
i hav forgotten this
i only know
tat msdelta0 shud be ezual to mL
L ...>LATENT HEAT OF FREEZING OR BOILING
SO WILL IT BE
m * specific heat of water * ( 10 - t ) =m * specific heat ice * (t -<-10>)
does m * L be also comin in eqn ??
which side rhs or lhs ????
plsplsplspslplspls
urgent tell me fast !
options
0 2 4 -2 -4 ????

u need to use latenet heat of fusion here [i.e. ice->water at 0deg C]..
becoz// the change of state is from ice- >water.
if it wud have been water->steam , then u wud have used latent heat of vaoprisation..

hmmmmm
ya ok ,
i got it
i will try it
2mro :)

?? ajinkya! ... ok wid it ?

ok

ok aarthi seeing :)

and ajinkya...

this formula DOESNOT work!

believe me!

sometimes by this formula u will get the final t [TEMP] as some negative value which is impossible.

pls do one sum without using any formula ..
and using only the steps i told :>>>>> earlier<<<<<<<!!!!! [mimicking you :P]

ohhhhhhhhh
thanqs a lot
so u mean finaly this formula ?
m * specific heat of water * ( 10 - t )

=

m * specific heat ice * (t-<-10> )
+ m * latent heat of fusion

skygirl ·

and there is NOTHING IN THIS WORLD LIKE-> latent heatof water... or ice...

theyare latent heat of 'fusion' n vaporisation* ........

skygirl ·

arey give the latent heats....!

n do v have to use
Latent heat of water or ice
or both?

i got u !
but mayb u were tellin bout
mass of ice that got melted to water.
i want final temperature ?
if mass is known then
?
it will cancel naaaaaa
mass of both is same ?
then

?
m * specific heat of water * ( 10 - t ) = m * specific heat ice * (t -<-10> )
+ m * latent heat of water + m * latent heat of ice

putting value of masss ?
is formula crt accrding to logik ? of u ??

i agree with sky[1]

arey mereko utna formula mat bataya karo yaar!

main yaad nahi rakhti...

upar logic post kii... wo yaad rakh liyo... zindagi bhar yaad rahega [3] [main guarantee nahi le rahi hun]

see basically the logic is:

find the heat liberated by water wen it comes down from 10deg C
to 0deg C.

now subtract from this, the heat required by ice to change from -10degC to 0degC.

now the heat left = Q [say]

Q=Lm
m= mass of ice that got melted to water.

right or ?
m * specific heat of water * ( 10 - t ) = m * specific heat ice * (t -<-10> )
+ m * latent heat of water + m * latent heat of ice

~AjInKyA~ ·

in question not given
but lets assume anything , so ill v hsv 2 put
m *latent heat in eqn , of ice

m * specific heat of water * ( 10 - t ) =m * specific heat ice * (t -<-10> )
+ m * latent heat of ice

???????????is it right ??
ki m*latent heat of water bhi ayegaaaa ?
