i'm very weak at algebra. So can anyone plz say me if (x+1/x)=4 then (x-1/x)=? nd why??

(x+1/x)=4
squaring
x²+1/x²+2=16
x²+1/x²=14
x²+1/x²-2=12
(x-1/x)²=12

x-1/x=Â±2√3

There's no specific book which will help you improve in algebra....the only way is to practice extensively...u can refer to M.L.AGGARWAL books...thats a good book beginners.
