neutron question of iit

i m not sure of this but please clear it to me
the jee question of neutrons has the answer as 4 not 3
if there is a natural transmutation then the answer should be 3
if there is artificial or induced transmutation then answer should be 4 because in this case you need a neutron to bombard

also if the jee is considering this question so deeply and also the thermodynamics one ( answer as a,b,c,d) then why they are not considering that bromine question whose answer they have given as a,c not a,b,c(paper 1 chem section 2 multiple choice)

Possibly because if you make the resonance structures of a single para-bromo phenoxide intermediate, the negative charge that appears at the bromine's position is largely engulfed by its -I effect. Also there would be steric considerations with two bromine atoms on the same carbon of a benzene molecule.

as the rn is controlled the atom is bombarded by a slow neutron.so there is a neutron also in the reactant side if u write the eqn.
