comparing coeff of like powers of x... confused!!

while solving a question i got stuck here..!!

(a0xn + a1x(n-1) + a2x(n-2) + ............... + an)(a0/xn + a1/x(n-1) + a2/x(n-2) + ............... + an) = (a0xn + a1x(n-1) + a2x(n-2) + ............... + an) + (a0/xn + a1/x(n-1) + a2/x(n-2) + ............... + an)

how on comparing the coeff. of like powers of x do we get,
a0 = ±1 , an = 1 and a2 = a3 = ........... = an-1 = 0

please explain..!!

dekh bhai...rhs mein sirf wo terms hai jo lhs mein individual bracket mein hai...
agar an 1 nahi hoga toh wo terms individually bahar kaise aayega...
aur since there are no other terms the other co-efficients are 0....

compare coeff. of 1
ao2+......+an2=2an
if ao=±1,
(an-1)2+a12+........+an-12=0
so, an=1, a1=0,......... an-1=0
if ao=±k , then → k2+......+an2=2an
but this is not possible because an2+1≥2an
so, k2≤1
