How many ways can the letters of the word 'computer' be arranged so that vowels occupy the even positions?
In how many ways can you put 9 coins of different values into 2 pockets
my cousin in engg college give me this question.... please explain... some hint...

first even no is filled in 4 ways, 2nd in 3, 3rd in 2, the remaining 5 digits in 5 places.. 5!
total ways =4.3.2.5!

62i think the coins are identical...
in that case, the no of ways will be 10! 0 or 1 or 2 .. or 10 coins in first pocket...
if both pockets are also considered to be identical (which i dont think the case is!) then the anser will be 0 or 1 or 2 or 3 or 4 or 5 in 1st pocket hence, 6 ways!
