have been thinking in the back of my mind for the last 2 days... fInally got a very dirty method to solve this one...

1/(1+x16)

1/(1- i x8).(1+i x8) where is is square root of -1

1/2 {1/(1- i x8) + 1/(1+ i x8)}

Now continue in this way to get a very very dirty expression. That I hope helps...
