More Circles.....

Find the equation of the circle of minimum radius which contains the 3 circles.
x2 + y2 - 4y - 5 = 0,
x2 + y2 + 12x + 4y + 31 = 0,
x2 + y2 + 6x + 12y + 36 = 0,

arre it happens
no need to say sorry every time you blink

simplest thing is that the circle must touch all of them externally ,,,,that leads us to the conclusion from philip !

its answer is (x +31/18)2 + (y+23/12)2 = (3+5√949/36)2.
Did anyone reach at the result?

yes we can get that with some patience , when we observe that this required circle is concentric with the circle passing through the centres of the three circles. the later can be found out with the help of the points through which it passes(i mean the centres of the 3 given circles) and then the result is obvious !

do it.......coz the ONLY TRICK to crack mathematics is to solve it.......not just create a mind-map for solving it/preparing the algorithm for solving it!
Ur calculations should also be very fast........coz u dont get hours for each ques......u get just-1-3 min in any competitive exam for Engg!!!
