Try this by geometric thinking.

The line x+y+7=0 is below the origin and passes through the points (-7,0) and (0,-7)

Now see if the angle is acute then it is less than 90 degree. So the maximum slope permitted by this line is such that it is perpendicular to this line.

that line is given by x-y= constant.

can you now try to make something out of this questino...

This might seem a stupid hint.. but trust me if u can use it wisely it will help a lot!
