http://www.india-server.com/news/iit-jee-2010-results-put-on-hold-26014.html

The Delhi High Court has announced to put stay orders on the declaration of IIT-JEE 2010 results. The Indian Institutes of Technology (IIT) entrance exam which was conducted on April 11 came under the fire of charges for errors in the instructions for examinees, who took the IIT joint entrance examination (IIT-JEE) in Hindi.

The case was registered in the High Court by a non-governmental organization (NGO), Satya Foundation, on April 23.

Chetan Upadhyaya, the Secretary and Counsel of Satya Foundation who submitted a list of major errors in the IIT JEE-2010 before the court claimed that the officials of Joint Admission Board were trying to hide the issue instead of accepting their fault. Chetan also added that the Board denied re-conducting the examination.

But, on May 2nd IIT-JEE board took appropriate measures in order to ensure that the genuine candidates are not affected by the examination errors.

It designed a point-by-point remedial action and posted the same on the IIT-JEE website. However, the petitioner has asked for a temporary stay on the declaration of the results till the hearing is going on and also the examination is re-conducted.

guys...come back 2 ur senses....reexam will never be conducted....

Those who were good.....they r still in...bas 200 ke jagah 400 aa gaya.....only few who r around AIR 7000 got affected....IITs dont care ab it
Most of the top students r sitting in camps....so do u think IIT will conduct a reexam just for the sake of the back rankers n put these gud ones in trouble?????

N delay in starting course will hurt.......
n u never kno wat will happen in reexam....isse bhi ganda gaya toh????

BETTER PREPARE FOR BITSAT.....
It is as good as iits, if not better, n NO RESERVATIONS. pure merit.......
So in few years it'll be better than IITs

the exam shud hav been equal for all

why should the hindi students get only half the question paper??
have they paid only half the money or double the money for the application forms??

1
smsm ·

i think, rickde is right. lets be realistic and move on... they are not going to do it again...

one important thing is that, with the kind of examination this time around(question papers nd all) it will be intresting to see, if they implement the suggestion of 80% cutt off ,if they do, then iit people will for sure face the heat...... their will be critisim from all qauters..

yeah now its too late and the only yhing 4 which we can wait is the judgement of 19th which i think will be in faour of iits. because this had not gained national importance maybe the media just doesnt want anything like this they only want masala topics. like which actress did what and what did sania weared on her marriage and what did tendulkar do on his birthday etc etc .is this a responsible media?????. and coming back 2 the topic a reexam was only possible if there was a protest from the majority of the hindi students . they had just overlooked this news as if they had tried iitjee by their luck thats why none of the hindi students is doing anything about it. so why us . lets relax and prepare 4 other exams .
i heard somewhere that
every iitian is a not successful man and every successful man is not an iitian

@ shahbaz ,unlike us, most of the hindi students come frm a rural background ,so they get short of mediums to protest.
all they can do is write letters to the directors, chairpersons and other authorities of iits and gov. , who don't even care to consider their problems.
they are just too anxious to get rid of the problem.

To
THE HON'BLE CHIEF JUSTICE
THE HIGH COURT OF DELHI
Shershah Road, NEW DELHI

Subject: Public Interest Litigation (P.I.L.) against Ministry of HRD, New Delhi and the Joint Admission Board, IIT, Madras against grave mistakes in the question paper of the IIT Joint Entrance held on 11th April, 2010 and request for re-holding the examination.

Respected Sir,

The people are highly affected and hurt by the grave errors in the Indian Institute of Technology Joint Entrance Examination held last 11th April, 2010. In spite of not just one, but a series of blunders in such a highly prestigious examination, the concerned authorities are not willing to hold re-examination.

Through various media reports, it has come to notice that a W.P.(C) / PIL no. 2784/2010 by one journalist Chetan Upadhyaya against IIT JEE-2010 has been accepted by your court for hearing on the next 19th May, 2010. May I request you, your honour, to treat this letter as PIL in the same case against the anomalies in the IIT JEE-2010.

Sir, due to the grave mistakes committed by the Joint Admission Board (IIT), the future of thousands of students is in danger and there is no logical way to address this problem except re-examination.

Sir, Through this registered post, I want to I bring to your notice that the IIT Joint Admission Board, in order to save itself from the court orders, may pre-pone the results and instead of 26th May 2010, may declare it before the next court hearing on 19th May, 2010. So, in the interest of the society and the nation, it is therefore prayed to you to issue immediate stay orders on the publication of results till the pendency of the petition.

Kindly treat this letter by registered post as PIL in the above said matter and since the corrective measures suggested by the IIT are totally illogical and discriminatory in nature, you are kindly requested to go into the depth of the matter and issue immediate orders for stay on the publication of results & order the Ministry of HRD and IIT Joint Admission Board for the re-examination.

Thanks & regards,

iit is all about difficulties and there inventory approach in ppr
those guys who r talking about difficulty of maths ppr r just hiding there failure behind the mistakes of IIT
there is no such method to get 93 marks for free coz IIT gives its method of checking those ques also..........
guys who had given IIT in english ppr and asking for re exam r hiding there failure

IIT's MISTAKES ARE BLUNDERS
i have full sympathy with guys who didnt get there full ppr in hindi version .................. so they have full rights to appeal against the same

IIT also given there corrective measure so they r trying hard to compensate there mistakes

none of you actually deserve to be in iit. all of you demanding a re exam just want another shot at jee without having to drop for a year....the english paper had no problems...u all are just making excuses for your failures....plus after a break of over a month of regular study and revison.......re exam will be a disaster......

1

^Ii completely agree with rkrokster...!!

6
Aakash Sharawat ·

got some news regarding the admissions this year the JEE officials are not in any mood to conduct the re-exam at any cost and they are saying that not too much of a mess has taken place........... well the IITs are a fame and IIT JEE is a reputative examination and this for sure is not taken in any lighter sense. So lets see and hope for the best!!!! Cheers and take care!!!!!

1
plg ·

Yes I also agree with rkrokster, moreover its funny why people are asking for re exam even when the paper was not leaked. And if there is a re-exam than all those geniuses which are in olympiad camps will suffer. How can they give iit re exam and represent India in various international olympiad simultaneously. Have mercy people

rkrokster ·

lets file PIL saying no to a re exam

in our center invigilator confused us twice.. i had to rub answers and put them right twice....but it was my bad luck that how ever i erased it had a print o omr..surly it maynt be valuated well.
they were many who were lk me......
if IIt are so standard then they shudt have done such glaring mistakes in the paper..
hopefully we have laws which may do justice in this case...
Saying re exam is absolutely for those who didnt do well is a wrong idea..please dont blame our intention
i'll try my level best for supporting reexam
